Third Key Holder, Pet Retail & Store Operations
Overview
Oversee store operations at a busy Hollywood Feed location, opening and closing the store while ensuring exceptional customer service and profitable performance. You will manage daily tasks independently and as part of a team, mentor new employees, and handle cash and inventory through the POS system. This role demands reliability and flexibility with weekend and evening availability, and it includes driving the delivery vehicle for Same Day Delivery orders. You will gain comprehensive product knowledge and leadership skills in a supportive, pet-centric environment.
What You'll Do9
- 1Open and close the store, ensuring all opening and closing procedures are complete and the store is ready for business.
- 2Greet and assist customers with a focus on Hollywood Feed service standards, addressing pet and owner needs with product expertise.
- 3Take on managerial duties when the Store Manager or Assistant Manager is unavailable, overseeing daily operations.
- 4Train and support new team members, demonstrating efficient work practices and clear communication.
- 5Process customer transactions using the POS system, including opening/closing registers, creating accounts, and handling inventory counts.
- 6Unload and stock deliveries, maintaining accurate product placement and shelf presentation.
- 7Participate in educational sessions to deepen product knowledge and stay current on pet care best practices.
- 8Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, dusting, setting up displays, and updating prices, to keep the store inviting.
- 9Drive the company vehicle for Same Day Delivery, following all safety policies and ensuring timely order completion.
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 21+ years of retail or customer service experience, with proven sales abilities.
- 3Valid driver's license with 2+ years of driving experience (including learner's permit period).
- 4Ability to lift 50 lbs. overhead and stock shelves repeatedly.
- 5Comfort standing and walking for 8-10 hours per shift, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- 6Willingness to climb ladders regularly to access products.
- 7Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
- 8Ability to learn store products quickly and operate the POS system.
- 9Open availability including weekends and closing shifts 3 nights per week.
- 10Commitment to animal welfare and alignment with Hollywood Feed values.
Salary Insight
