Therapist, Addiction Treatment & Co Occurring Disorders - In Person LA
Overview
Own a patient-centered role at a leading outpatient addiction treatment facility in Los Angeles with a focus on co occurring disorders. You will manage a caseload of 16 18 clients and facilitate both group and individual therapy. This on site full time position offers clinical supervision if needed opportunities for growth and the chance to impact client recovery journeys. You will work with a collaborative team and rely on evidence based approaches.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build 1 2 therapy groups per week and provide individual counseling
- 2Design personalized treatment plans after completing biopsychosocial assessments
- 3Conduct diagnostic evaluations using DSM criteria
- 4Apply psychodynamic CBT DBT and 12 step frameworks to treatment
- 5Coordinate care with community resources and referral sources
- 6Maintain timely clinical documentation in the EMR system
- 7Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when needed
- 8Uphold licensure registration and certification requirements
- 9Collaborate with team members to ensure client progress and continuity of care
- 10Support a respectful inclusive environment for clients and staff
Requirements6
- 1Master's degree in a related field (required)
- 2Registered Associate with the BBS (AMFT ACSW or APCC – required)
- 3At least 1 year of experience in addiction treatment (preferred)
- 4Strong understanding of co occurring disorders family systems and trauma informed care
- 5Familiarity with EMRs and clinical documentation standards
- 6Excellent communication organization and teamwork skills
