Primary Therapist Job in LA: LMFT, EMDR, Addiction Recovery
Overview
The Primary Therapist at Forward Recovery owns direct client care for residential detox and IOP patients in Beverly Hills. You will deliver CBT, DBT, and trauma-based therapy, including EMDR, while managing cases and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This role demands residential treatment experience and a certification as an LMFT or Associate MFT. Your work will stabilize clients in early recovery and guide their therapeutic progress.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead group therapy sessions using CBT and DBT modalities for detox and IOP patients.
- 2Conduct individual therapy sessions, applying EMDR or other trauma-informed approaches.
- 3Facilitate family therapy to repair relationships and build support systems.
- 4Drive case management, coordinating care with medical staff and external providers.
- 5Ship weekly progress notes and treatment plans, tracking client outcomes.
- 6Adapt therapeutic interventions to meet diverse client needs in a residential setting.
- 7Support the clinical team during crisis situations to ensure client safety.
- 8Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed.
Requirements8
- 1LMFT or Associate MFT license in California.
- 2EMDR certification or demonstrated ability to perform trauma-based therapy.
- 3Residential treatment experience is required.
- 4Experience with CBT and DBT modalities.
- 5Ability to conduct group, individual, and family therapy.
- 6Strong case management skills in a clinical setting.
- 7Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
- 8Compensation is based on experience, with a competitive range.
