Overview

Lead supervision and care of youth while maintaining program guidelines and ensuring safety. Facilitate learning in fire safety and identify signs of potential harm. Provide therapeutic support and foster skill development. Ensure health wellness and safety through a secure environment. Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques. Adhere to individualized treatment plans and collaborate with teams. Provide coverage and operate vehicles as needed.

What You'll Do19

  • 3Develop understanding of youth needs and provide therapeutic support
  • 4Maintain safe therapeutic environment through cleaning and organization
  • 5Use crisis intervention techniques to redirect stressed youth
  • 6Adhere to individualized service plans and report behavioral changes
  • 7Assist with daily living activities and personal care tasks
  • 8Support academic activities and skill development
  • 9Teach communication and conflict resolution skills
  • 10Provide supervision for meals and transportation to activities
  • 11Implement infection control and safe handling procedures
  • 12Collect and summarize youth data for treatment records
  • 13Complete required paperwork and documentation
  • 14Document interactions with external entities and report incidents
  • 15Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide feedback
  • 16Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns

  • 18Cover shifts and operate YAI vehicle for transportation

Requirements11

  • 1Minimum 18 years old
  • 2Bachelor's degree in human services or equivalent experience
  • 3Two years of experience serving individuals with mental health needs
  • 4Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with assistance
  • 5Strong written and oral communication skills
  • 6Commitment to ethical standards and empathy
  • 7Willingness to work beyond regular hours and operate vehicles
  • 8Basic computer skills including email and Workday
  • 9Experience with behavioral health diagnoses
  • 10Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques
  • 11Valid driver's license
