Test Engineer II, Medical Device Hardware Testing
Overview
Owns hardware test execution for regulated device development at scale within a cross functional team. Manages bench level testing, data collection, and test reporting to ensure traceability and quality. Works in a hybrid model with on site lab management and collaboration with Quality, R&D, and program stakeholders. Differentiates by hands on lab discipline, documented processes, and a bias toward tooling and automation improvements.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build test methods and protocols for design verification and sustaining changes and document results
- 2Design and execute hardware tests in the lab and for in office builds with clear traceability
- 3Support automated and semi automated test execution by preparing devices, fixtures, scripts, and lab setups and escalate failures
- 4Assist in assembling prototypes and test setups with minor modifications using standard lab tools
- 5Coordinate calibration status, equipment records, and lab organization to enable reliable testing
- 6Support complaint investigations and test method validation protocols with formal studies and documentation
- 7Partner with Quality, R&D, and cross functional stakeholders to ensure on time testing and documentation
- 8Maintain clear test reports addressing results discrepancies and follow up needs
- 9Prepare for QC testing including basic incoming checks and screening activities
- 10Identify pain points in test execution and collaborate to standardize workflows and expand automation
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field
- 22+ years in a test lab quality manufacturing or product development environment
- 3Experience executing procedures and documenting results in a traceable organized way
- 4Experience using common lab equipment and working within controlled test setups
- 5Ability to work cross functionally and document results clearly and effectively
