Test Engineer, Software Testing & Automation
Overview
Own testing strategy for automated systems at scale within a hybrid environment. Manage functional and regression tests for new and existing software systems and collaborate with cross functional teams. Bring experience across testing platforms and a strong understanding of operational and reliability considerations. This role differs by balancing hands on testing with strategic improvements to testing processes and tooling.
What You'll Do6
- 1Build and execute functional and regression tests to validate software changes and system integrations
- 2Design test cases, test plans, and automation scripts to improve coverage and reduce release risk
- 3Lead test verification for new features and software enhancements in collaboration with developers
- 4Ship high quality software by identifying defects early and driving fix verification
- 5Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure test environments and data support reliable testing
- 6Debug issues efficiently and document test results to inform release decisions
Requirements5
- 13+ years of testing experience in software quality assurance
- 2Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
- 3Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and quality metrics
- 4Familiarity with test planning, defect tracking, and test reporting
- 5Hybrid work environment experience and willingness to work on contract assignments
