Temporary Mobile Phlebotomist, Nursing Homes & San Diego
Overview
You will drive to client facilities, mostly nursing homes, and draw blood from patients for TridentCare. You'll own your daily schedule, manage specimen collection and transport, and coordinate with dispatch and lab teams. This temporary full-time role in San Diego offers $18-$23 per hour based on experience. What You'll Do10
- 1Drive your personal vehicle to client facilities, mostly nursing homes, following dispatcher or supervisor directions.
- 2Draw blood specimens from patients using established phlebotomy procedures.
- 3Identify patients accurately per TridentCare policy before each draw.
- 4Label specimens correctly and complete requisitions with billing info before transport.
- 5Transport specimens following TridentCare policies on protected health information.
- 6Plan and organize your daily draw schedule, prioritizing patient needs.
- 7Complete written logs, time sheets, and records neatly and accurately.
- 8Collaborate with dispatch, payroll, lab, and courier teams.
- 9Maintain all equipment and report issues to your Area Phlebotomy Supervisor.
- 10Answer your company mobile device promptly while on duty and notify dispatch of availability.
Requirements10
- 1Current clinical licensure, if required by the state.
- 21+ year of phlebotomy experience with proficiency in venipuncture and tourniquet techniques.
- 3Knowledge of medical terminology and specimen requirements.
- 4Valid Driver's License and auto insurance.
- 5Access to a reliable vehicle in good working condition.
- 6Clean driving record.
- 7Ability to work under minimal supervision and maintain accurate time records.
- 8Understanding of resident rights and patient consent.
- 9Skill in obtaining blood from patients under varied conditions.
- 10Strong communication and organizational skills in English.
