What You'll Do11
- 1Drive personal vehicle to client facilities as directed by dispatcher
- 2Unload phlebotomy tray and transport specimens to patient bedside
- 3Accurately identify patients before specimen collection
- 4Collect label process and deliver specimens promptly
- 5Reload vehicle with equipment and specimens for next delivery
- 6Maintain regular contact with dispatcher regarding status and location
- 7Follow Universal Precautions to prevent pathogen exposure
- 8Hold current State phlebotomy and driver licenses
- 9Ensure vehicle meets daily operational requirements
- 10Perform venipuncture using vacutainer and syringe techniques
- 11Preserve sterile conditions to prevent contamination
