What You'll Do11
- 1Drive daily within assigned territory to fulfill STAT and scheduled appointments
- 2Stock vehicle with sanitized supplies and verify equipment before each job
- 3Confirm patient identity using two identifiers and review orders before collection
- 4Perform venipuncture and capillary draws following proper order of draw
- 5Collect non-blood specimens and label with full patient details immediately
- 6Process specimens via centrifugation or freezing as required by lab protocols
- 7Transport specimens in temperature-controlled containers to certified labs
- 8Conduct house calls with professionalism and compassion for varied patients
- 9Monitor for adverse reactions and report incidents promptly
- 10Maintain HIPAA compliance and document all interactions accurately
- 11Adhere to OSHA and CLIA standards during specimen handling and transport
Requirements11
- 1Active Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification from NHA ASCP or AMT program
- 2Minimum 2 years hands-on phlebotomy experience with geriatric mobile focus
- 3Valid Florida driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
- 4Certificate of Insurance with $1M liability and $2M aggregate plus Professional Liability
- 5Background check clearance and phlebotomy credential verification
- 6Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred
- 7Clean driving record and ability to lift 50lbs
- 8Valid Florida license and ability to work independently as contractor
- 9Strong time management and data entry accuracy
- 10Compliance with HIPAA HITECH OSHA CLIA Florida regulations
- 11Physical stamina for standing, lifting and moving throughout day
