Temporary 2nd Grade Teacher, Elementary Education
Overview
You will own differentiated instruction for a cohort of 2nd graders at BASIS Cedar Park, using LET expertise to raise individual student outcomes during the 2026/2027 school year. You collaborate daily with the Subject Expert Teacher (SET), who leads whole-class instruction, so you focus on small-group and one-on-one support. This temporary role runs 2-3 months and puts you inside a co-teaching model with two teachers per classroom. You join a collaborative school community that values subject expertise and gives teachers autonomy to craft dynamic lessons.
What You'll Do8
- 1Own one cohort of students and lead them through daily classroom transitions.
- 2Collaborate with the Subject Expert Teacher (SET) each class period to align support with core instruction.
- 3Design individualized and small-group instruction using elementary education methods to meet differentiated needs.
- 4Establish and maintain student behavior standards that create a functional learning atmosphere.

- 6Co-create with students during all class time in the K-3 co-teaching model.

Requirements6
- 1Bachelor's or Master's degree in education or related field.
- 2Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- 3Passion for student achievement and directed effort to raise individual outcomes.
- 41+ years experience as an elementary educator (preferred).
- 5Strong communication skills (preferred).
- 6Openness to new ideas in teaching methods (preferred).
