Overview

BASIS Chandler Primary South seeks a Kindergarten Teaching Fellow to join our bright passionate teaching team immediately. This role provides direct exposure to the BASIS Charter School model preparing candidates for full time classroom teaching or other positions. New hires will contribute to a strong achievement oriented school culture.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Classroom teaching part time and as substitute
  • 2Assist teachers with classroom management
  • 3Provide academic support and tutoring
  • 4Proctor assessments and monitor non scheduled time
  • 5Coordinate study groups and homework for absent students
  • 6Monitor Early Bird and Late Bird supervision
  • 7Manage lunch monitor duties
  • 8Support Dean and Directors of Student Affairs with behavior management
  • 9Assist Directors of Academic Programs with program execution
  • 10Maintain detailed records and manage multiple priorities
  • 11Exercise judgment and make decisions under pressure

Requirements8

  • 1Bachelor's degree required
  • 2Will to pass NES Elementary Education Assessment
  • 3Valid Identity Verified Prints fingerprint clearance card
  • 4Strong belief in BASIS Charter School academic program
  • 5Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • 6Ability to work with diverse constituents professionally
  • 7Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
