What You'll Do8
- 1Create and execute strategic roadmaps for virtual design, development, and validation of body systems, integrating Optistruct and Dyna analysis.
- 2Collaborate with Hardware Release Teams to develop and validate designs, using ABAQUS for fatigue and durability simulations.
- 3Provide technical direction to VDDV engineers, ensuring analysis procedures align with BOD/BOMs and VCRIs.
- 4Stay ahead of industry trends to identify opportunities that improve speed-to-market and cost efficiency.
- 5Support urgent product issues (Code Red/PRTS/SUFs) with rapid analysis and design recommendations.
- 6Lead analysis project technical reviews at every GVDP milestone, communicating clear insights to leadership.
- 7Mentor engineers, fostering technical excellence and the adoption of virtual methods across the organization.
- 8Advocate for the integration of Design Life and other state-of-the-art tools in analysis procedures.
Requirements9
- 110+ years in engineering design, with a focus on manufacturing impacts and structural analysis.
- 2Deep understanding of fatigue theories and reliability at a system level.
- 3Strong technical command of CAE tools including Optistruct, Dyna, ABAQUS, and Design Life.
- 4Expertise in vehicle body and chassis systems design and manufacturing knowledge.
- 5Knowledge of DFMEA and PFMEA to support body designs.
- 6Proven ability to assess analysis results and drive design recommendations.
- 7Strong technical guidance skills in analysis methods and model debugging.
- 8Excellent verbal communication and conflict management skills.
- 9Self-initiative and drive for results, with a focus on continuous improvement.
