What You'll Do9
- 1Create and design physical layouts for integrated circuits and PCBs using engineering tools and processes
- 2Conduct design rule checks and design for manufacturability checks to verify functional performance
- 3Collaborate with circuit designers system engineers and packaging engineers to optimize layout for performance power area and manufacturability
- 4Select appropriate technology and process based on target application performance goals and manufacturing capabilities
- 5Optimize designs with subject matter experts in SI/PI/EMC/Thermal/Mechanical to meet reliability criteria
- 6Support ECAD librarians to develop library parts meeting DFM and GM resiliency requirements
- 7Work with component engineers procurement and supply chain to select optimal components for PCBA design
- 8Apply Design for Assembly principles to ensure efficient assembly processes
- 9Identify opportunities for process improvements cost reduction and quality enhancement in PCBA manufacturing
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- 2Up to 7 years professional experience in PCB layout design
- 3Proven experience creating digital/analog hardware interfaces including schematic creation and PCB layout
- 4Familiarity with design and analysis tools such as Mentor Graphics
- 5Previous industry experience with infotainment telematics or connectivity
