Technical Recruiter, Defense Tech & Hardware Engineering
Overview
Own full-cycle recruiting for priority technical searches across software, controls, robotics, electrical, optics, and ML. Scale the hiring machine from 20 to 60 people by building process, dashboards, and candidate flows. Collaborate closely with the Head of Talent, founders, and engineering leads to attract and close top technical talent. This hybrid role includes onsite operations, process discipline, and continuous improvement of recruiting templates and cadences.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build and own full-cycle recruiting for priority technical searches including screens, assessments, references, and offer coordination
- 2Drive candidate qualification and alignment with role requirements while partnering with hiring managers to ensure strong hiring decisions
- 3Manage onsite logistics and candidate experience including scheduling, travel, invites, and tracker hygiene
- 4Maintain Ashby as the single source of truth with clean stages, scorecards, archiving, and timely follow-ups
- 5Instill process discipline with same-day debriefs after onsites and avoid bottlenecks in the funnel
- 6Deliver recruiting workflow improvements through templates, reminders, operating cadences, and documentation
- 7Generate pipeline reporting with weekly syncs and quarterly tracking including sourced vs inbound metrics and stage conversion
Requirements6
- 12 to 5 years in recruiting with meaningful technical searches
- 2Experience recruiting hardware, embedded, robotics, controls, optics, ML, or related engineering roles
- 3Strong candidate assessment judgment distinguishing builders from talkers
- 4Experience with Ashby or Greenhouse or similar ATS
- 5Ability to move candidates through the funnel with urgency and ownership
- 6Comfort with ambiguity, changing priorities, and building process while executing

$100 - $120k per year
