The AEGIS program at Leidos seeks a customer‑focused Technical Manager to lead safety oversight for NASA operations. This role drives compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across technical and mission‑essential activities. What You'll Do11
- 1Lead day‑to‑day safety oversight including onsite observations and hazard identification
- 2Drive safety initiatives and respond to operational requirements with efficient plans
- 3Review work orders to identify safety risks and enforce controls before execution
- 4Conduct meetings with customers to discuss work status and provide technical guidance
- 5Create and manage system‑specific training for technical team members
- 6Serve additional management duties to meet contractual operations needs
- 7Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- 8Perform facility safety inspections and maintain OSHA 300 logs
- 9Participate in NASA safety groups and internal/external audits
- 10Support verification and validation of communication systems
- 11Collaborate with engineering and operations teams in a collaborative environment
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering or related field with 10+ years experience
- 2Expertise with Microsoft Office applications including Excel Word PowerPoint Project
- 3Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer briefings
- 4U.S. Citizenship and Public Trust clearance
- 5Experience with OSHA regulations and safety hazard controls
- 6Ability to conduct inspections and investigations with detailed documentation
- 7Proven leadership in managing diverse operational and technical roles
- 8Knowledge of Agile methodology for project management
- 9Network administration certifications such as CCNA A+ Net+ Secure+
