Team Member, Retail & Customer Service at Kinder's Pleasant Hill
Overview
You will own the customer experience at our Pleasant Hill location, from greeting guests to ringing up sales. You will work with a close-knit team serving high-quality meats, delis, and BBQ items in a fast-paced retail environment. Your role is central to maintaining our reputation for award-winning sauces and barbecued meats. This position offers $17.00-$18.50/hr plus $2.50-$5.00/hr in tips, with full-time and part-time schedules available.
What You'll Do8
- 1Provide superior customer service by greeting every guest with a smile and answering questions about menu items.
- 2Stock counters, display refrigerators, salad bar, and steam table with fresh product, keeping displays neat and accurate.
- 3Merchandise all display foods attractively, following visual standards for both hot and cold items.
- 4Clean your work station and equipment daily, including countertops, cutting boards, and utensils, to maintain hygiene and safety.
- 5Restock your station with supplies such as napkins, utensils, and packaging throughout your shift.
- 6Learn the daily menu, specials, and prices so you can explain items clearly and recommend popular choices.
- 7Operate the cash register with accuracy, handle cash, and follow all cash handling procedures to prevent errors.
- 8Keep the front-of-house inviting by monitoring expiration dates and rotating product stock.
Requirements7
- 11+ year experience in retail, food service, or customer service roles.
- 2Strong verbal communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- 3Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- 4Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory counts.
- 5Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- 6Food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- 7Reliable transportation to the Pleasant Hill location.
