What You'll Do10
- 1Coach footwear teammates on product knowledge, fitting, and selling techniques to exceed athlete expectations.
- 2Own the footwear department's daily operations: inventory, floor sets, signage, and price changes.
- 3Drive loyalty program sign-ups, warranty sales, and credit card enrollments by leading team contests.
- 4Develop 30-60-90 day plans with the SM/ASM, then execute and adjust based on sales and traffic data.
- 5Create weekly schedules balancing athlete foot traffic and payroll targets.
- 6Hire, onboard, and train new footwear associates, ensuring they meet performance standards.
- 7Conduct performance reviews, provide real-time feedback, and hold teammates accountable for policy compliance.
- 8When sole leader, manage store opening/closing, cash office, and oversee all store operations.
- 9Set daily and weekly goals for the team, assigning tasks based on skill levels and monitoring progress.
- 10Enforce safety, loss prevention, and company policies; initiate corrective action when needed.
Requirements8
- 11-3 years of retail or customer-facing experience required.
- 2Previous people leadership experience preferred, such as supervising or training others.
- 3High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 4Proven ability to coach and motivate a team to meet sales goals.
- 5Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with athletes and teammates.
- 6Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.
- 7Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- 8Must pass a background check including ID verification.
