Specialist Footwear, Retail Sales & Customer Service
Overview
You will own the footwear department at DICK'S Sporting Goods in North Scottsdale, AZ, driving sales and delivering expert fit guidance to athletes. You will work with a team of 5-10 store associates, reporting to the store manager. This role stands out because you become the go-to product expert, training new hires and shaping the athlete experience.
What You'll Do8
- 1Engage athletes on the floor, assess their needs, and recommend footwear that fits performance and comfort goals.
- 2Drive sales by linking products and services, including loyalty program sign-ups and warranty plans.
- 3Train new and existing team members on selling skills and footwear expertise, acting as the department subject matter expert.
- 4Execute floor sets, signage updates, and price changes to keep the footwear wall visually compelling and easy to shop.
- 5Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock to ensure top sizes are always available for purchase.
- 6Handle customer questions about shoe technology, sizing, and brand differences with confidence.
- 7Maintain a clean and safe sales floor, following loss prevention and safety protocols.
- 8Welcome every athlete with respect, creating an inclusive environment that reflects the community.
Requirements7
- 11-3 years of retail or customer-facing experience in a store environment.
- 2High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3Strong communication skills to explain technical product details clearly.
- 4Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- 5Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- 6Experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management tools.
- 7Proven track record of meeting sales goals or customer satisfaction targets.
