Tactical Security Officer, Warehouse & Access Control
Overview
Own site security for a warehouse distribution center in Santa Fe Springs, CA, protecting assets and personnel across 6-month fixed shifts. Work with Allied Universal's scheduling platform to claim extra shifts, building up to 40 hours per week. Report to site leadership and coordinate with local emergency responders. This role combines part-time flexibility with the stability of a designated anchor shift.
What You'll Do7
- 1Enforce access control at all entry points, verifying credentials and directing visitors and contractors per site procedures.
- 2Maintain accurate logs of vehicle entries, deliveries, and incidents, documenting every interaction in the security system.
- 3Conduct regular patrols of dock areas, parking lots, and building perimeters to deter unauthorized access and spot hazards.
- 4Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies in a calm, methodical manner, dispatching appropriate personnel.
- 5Provide customer service to clients, drivers, and employees, answering questions and guiding them safely through the facility.
- 6Monitor CCTV and alarm systems, identifying suspicious activity and escalating according to protocol.
- 7Claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, ensuring consistent coverage across multiple sites when needed.
Requirements7
- 12+ years in security, with 1+ years in armed roles, law enforcement, or military.
- 2Valid driver's license per Allied Universal's policy.
- 3Access control and badge management experience preferred.
- 418+ years for unarmed roles, 21+ years for armed roles.
- 5High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6Pass background check and drug screening.
- 7State licensing as required by local laws.
