Systems Engineer Space Infrastructure
Overview
Own end to end space system definitions and analyses at scale across budgets, architectures, requirements, and verification. Lead technical trade studies and ensure traceability from mission objectives to verification plans within a cross functional team. Drive lifecycle reviews and mentor engineers to raise engineering practices.
What You'll Do6
- 1Lead space system architecture definition and technical trade studies to guide design decisions
- 2Own end to end space system budgets including mass, power, data, performance, margins, and system constraints
- 3Drive requirements decomposition allocation and burndown across subsystems
- 4Define system level verification and validation strategies in partnership with integration and test teams
- 5Provide technical leadership across cross functional teams to resolve system level issues and interfaces
- 6Lead system participation in lifecycle reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, readiness reviews)
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics or related field or equivalent experience
- 210+ years experience in systems engineering for complex space or aerospace systems
- 3Proven experience owning and managing space system technical budgets and analyses
- 4Strong command of system level requirements and specifications
- 5Excellent technical communication skills including senior level design and risk discussions
Salary Insight
$180 - $336k per year
