Acquisition Engineer - Space Systems

The Acquisition Engineer will lead Space Systems acquisition efforts bridging Contracts Acquisition and Systems Engineering. This role impacts national security by delivering innovative systems with a proven track record of success.
What You'll Do9
- 1Write Statements of Work for upcoming acquisitions and contribute to RFI RFP strategy
- 2Advise on best practices and guidelines for contract types and approval authorities
- 3Oversee contract execution including milestone payment plans and incentive plans
- 4Identify risks and provide unique courses of action to solve complex technical problems
- 5Review contractor submissions for technical accuracy and provide detailed analysis
- 6Assist with contract compliance assessments
- 7Mentor junior contractors and government team members
- 8Track and report progress at multiple levels of Contractor and Government leadership
- 9Support the development of systems engineering processes across the development lifecycle
Requirements8
- 1Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
- 2Education: BS/BA 5+ years or MS/MA 5+ years or PhD 5+ years
- 3Experience: 5+ years of Space Systems acquisition
- 4Experience with Acquisition and Contracts topics including task orders and fixed price contracts
- 5At least 5 years of DoD and IC acquisitions experience
- 6Familiarity with IC and DoD Acquisition regulations and policies
- 7Experience with Systems Engineering processes across the development lifecycle
- 8Mentorship capability for junior staff and government team members
