Overview

You will own system-level definition of high-performance radar products at Texas Instruments, scale from initial market analysis to product ramp, and influence revenue through design wins. You'll join a Dallas-based team that partners with marketing, applications, and design to shape the roadmap for automotive, industrial, and consumer systems. You'll leverage MATLAB and Python for signal processing and system analysis, and work hands-on with RF architectures. This role offers direct customer engagement and technical leadership, making you the go-to expert for radar solutions.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Define new radar products, develop business cases, and drive product strategy to RTM.
  • 2Analyze key end-equipment in automotive, industrial, and consumer to identify performance gaps and system value.
  • 3Negotiate IC tradeoffs with design teams and customers to balance performance, cost, and power.
  • 4Lead silicon system evaluation, including HW and SW, and author technical documentation.
  • 5Provide application support for new and existing radar ICs, including training sales and field teams.
  • 6Drive design wins by troubleshooting customer issues through lab testing and schematic analysis.
  • 7Collaborate across functional groups to ramp products and resolve issues quickly.
  • 8Contribute to revenue planning and build strong customer relationships to uncover new opportunities.

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, ECE, or computer engineering.
  • 23+ years relevant engineering experience in radar or RF sensing.
  • 3Strong understanding of RF sensing architectures and FMCW radar signal processing.
  • 4Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for system analysis.
  • 5Experience with MIMO modulations (e.g., DDM) and radar processing techniques.
  • 6Experience with power management in embedded systems.
  • 7Familiarity with antenna design and characterization.
  • 8Hands-on lab skills with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and RF chamber.
  • 9Familiarity with TI mmWave radar ICs and DSP architectures.
  • 10Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate across teams.
