Systems Engineer II III, Weapons Systems
Overview
Systems Engineer II/III will own systems engineering across full lifecycle for next generation weapons systems at scale within a multidisciplinary team. You will work on modeling & simulation, design analysis, digital engineering, requirements development, and system modernization across complex mission systems. You will collaborate across software-enabled analysis, modeling teams, and hardware-focused engineers in an Agile environment. This role offers growth through hands on technical contribution and cross-functional collaboration in a defense-focused program.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead the full systems engineering lifecycle from concept through verification
- 2Develop and maintain system requirements using DOORS and Jazz
- 3Perform systems modeling using CAMEO and SysML
- 4Support modeling, simulation, and engineering analysis activities
- 5Develop, maintain, and enhance engineering analysis tools and utilities
- 6Write and modify analysis scripts using Python, C++, Java, and MATLAB
- 7Participate in system architecture development, trade studies, and design analysis
- 8Support algorithm development and evaluation activities
- 9Collaborate within Agile engineering teams across multiple engineering disciplines
- 10Support future capability development through modeling, simulation, and requirements definition
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM discipline
- 2Approximately 2-10 years of relevant experience (Level II-III)
- 3Active Secret security clearance
- 4Experience with Systems Engineering principles and MBSE methodologies
- 5Experience using CAMEO and SysML
- 6Experience with DOORS and/or Jazz
- 7Experience with Modeling & Simulation and MATLAB
- 8Experience using Python, C++, or Java for engineering analysis or tool development
- 9Familiarity with Agile development environments
- 10Preferred Qualifications include experience supporting weapons systems, Ballistic Missile Defense, Anti-Air Warfare, Control systems, Digital Engineering, algorithm development or analysis, design development and trade studies
- 11Experience with requirements decomposition and verification, system integration and test, and supporting complex defense programs
