Overview
We seek a Systems Engineer to lead the backbone of our financial data platform. The ideal candidate will own systems and network configuration while scaling storage and networking across multiple data centers. This role offers parity with senior engineering positions at large firms and provides full remote flexibility with global collaboration.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design and implement systems and network configurations
- 2Deploy applications using bare-metal and containerized environments
- 3Maintain large-scale storage clusters exceeding 30 PB
- 4Instrument performance monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana
- 5Lead on-call support and troubleshooting
- 6Coordinate bulk data delivery operations
- 7Travel to data centers in New Jersey or Boston within one week
Requirements6
- 1Strong Linux expertise with experience in PXE Puppet and Ansible Terraform
- 2Deep understanding of RAID LVM and distributed storage systems
- 3Fundamental networking knowledge including OSI model and routing
- 4Proficiency in Python scripting and shell development
- 5Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 6H-1B visa eligibility required
