Swim Instructor at British Swim School
Overview
You will teach swim lessons to children and adults, from 3-months old, using the British Swim School aquatics program. You'll work directly with the Aquatics Manager, supporting class schedules and interacting with swimmers and parents. What You'll Do7
- 1Support the Aquatics Manager in delivering swim lessons that follow the British Swim School standards.
- 2Instruct swimming lessons for all ages, from infants to adults, following the program's gentle and progressive approach.
- 3Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications throughout employment.
- 4Work a flexible schedule, including evenings (3pm-8pm), weekends (10am-3pm), and holidays as required.
- 5Adapt to moderate to high noise levels and remain in the water for the duration of each shift.
- 6Engage with parents and guardians to provide feedback on student progress and reinforce program goals.
- 7Participate in ongoing training and testing to meet British Swim School aquatics-specific requirements.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent, or in the process of completion.
- 2Enthusiastic personality and comfort in and around water.
- 3Strong swimming skills are a plus but can be developed through training.
- 4Must maintain certifications throughout employment and pass all required British Swim School training.
- 5Comfortable teaching individuals of all ages, from infants to adults.
- 6Preferred: 1-2 years of swimming experience and/or 1 year of customer service.
- 7Preferred: Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- 8Ability to commute to Crestwood, IL and work in person.
Salary Insight
$31 - $35k per year
