SWIFT Integration Engineer, Payments & Messaging
Overview
You will own the technical architecture, integration, and support of SWIFT messaging platforms at scale. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to design resilient, high-performance payment solutions. This role centers on hands-on engineering, not business analysis. You will shape the future of financial messaging infrastructure.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design and implement SWIFT messaging solutions for payments and securities using SWIFTNet, SAG, and GPI.
- 2Build and maintain SWIFT interfaces and integrations with backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
- 3Debug and resolve SWIFT message flow issues, ensuring low-latency and high-availability operations.
- 4Drive the adoption of ISO 20022 standards and migrate legacy MT traffic to modern formats.
- 5Lead technical reviews and document solution designs for SWIFT integrations.
- 6Scale message processing pipelines using Kafka and Docker to handle growing transaction volumes.
- 7Own the security and compliance aspects of SWIFT customer and payment gateways.
Requirements7
- 15+ years in SWIFT integration and messaging architecture.
- 2Hands-on with SWIFTNet, SAG (SWIFT Alliance Gateway), and GPI.
- 3Strong Java and Spring Boot development skills.
- 4Experience with ISO 20022 and MT message standards.
- 5Familiarity with Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- 6Knowledge of HSM and cryptographic key management.
- 7BA/BS in Computer Science or related field.
