Senior Solutions Architect, Financial Services & Payments
Overview
You will own end-to-end solution architecture for Bank of America's payments and financial networks, designing systems that handle billions in daily transactions. What You'll Do9
- 1Translate business requirements into solution architecture for programs and projects, aligning with enterprise standards.
- 2Lead feasibility and impact analysis for proposed solutions, presenting trade-offs to stakeholders.
- 3Create architecture artifacts including Initial Design Approach (IDeA/POV), Solution Architecture Document (SAD), Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), and Threat Models.
- 4Drive technical guidance throughout the solution lifecycle, from ideation to delivery.
- 5Support Agile planning, estimation, and readiness assessments for delivery teams.
- 6Enforce compliance with security, governance, and cloud standards across all designs.
- 7Advise on technology platforms, integration patterns, and best practices for payments and financial networks.
- 8Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture and validate requirements for distributed systems.
- 9Evaluate and recommend cloud services and integration approaches for ACH, RTP, and card networks.
Requirements9
- 110+ years of IT experience, with a focus on architecture or engineering.
- 25+ years in financial services industry, with exposure to payments or banking.
- 33+ years of experience in integration services programming and architecture.
- 42+ years proven experience delivering innovative trends in payments or financial networks, with specific examples.
- 5Working knowledge of payments data/object/service models and HSMs and security models.
- 6Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and governance practices.
- 7Knowledge of network integration with third-party networks including ACH, RTP, and card networks.
- 8Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks.
- 9Expertise in designing complex, distributed systems and creating architectural artifacts.
