Atrium Health Cabarrus seeks a skilled Surgical Technologist I to lead surgical support in Labor and Delivery. This part time position offers 24 hours per week and eligibility for benefits. The ideal candidate will own patient preparation and instrument management while collaborating with RN circulators to ensure sterile environments and accurate documentation. What You'll Do11
- 1Design and execute sterile field preparation using Spark and Airflow
- 2Lead instrument organization and supply chain management across surgical cases
- 3Assist nurses with patient prepping and equipment assembly before procedures
- 4Monitor surgical supply sterility and document usage for billing accuracy
- 5Track sterilization processes to maintain compliance with department protocols
- 6Participate in monthly staff meetings and contribute to performance reviews
- 7Develop and refine surgical policies and standard operating procedures
- 8Maintain clear communication with multidisciplinary teams during high volume periods
- 9Support patient specimen handling and laboratory specimen disposition
- 10Perform routine maintenance of surgical equipment and workstations
- 11Adapt to rotating shifts while maintaining consistent clinical standards
Requirements10
- 15+ years building surgical suites with Kubernetes infrastructure
- 23-5 seasons managing complex surgical environments
- 3High School Diploma or equivalent equivalent required
- 4Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers mandatory
- 5Graduate of accredited surgical technology program or military OR
- 6Current AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner preferred
- 7Proficiency in React frameworks for documentation systems
- 8Expertise in Python scripting for workflow automation
- 9Certification in BCBA recommended for behavioral health settings
- 10Experience with Spark and Airflow for data analytics applications
