Surgical Tech CVOR Travel, Cardiovascular OR & Impella | CST BLS Required
Overview
This role owns CVOR support in a high acuity cardiovascular operating room environment on a travel contract. You will enable open-heart, cardiovascular, endovascular and complex procedures including Impella cases in a large multi-building facility. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses and anesthesia providers to ensure sterile technique, accurate counts and infection prevention. You will operate in a high-volume setting with robotic and Da Vinci systems and weekend call as needed.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain sterile technique throughout surgical cases in the CVOR
- 2Anticipate instrument, equipment, and supply needs during complex cardiovascular procedures
- 3Assist surgeons and the surgical team during open-heart, endovascular and Impella procedures
- 4Support high-acuity cases and ensure accurate surgical counts and specimen handling
- 5Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety and surgical protocols
- 6Participate in call coverage including weekends and holidays
- 7Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other team members
- 8Prepare the CVOR and surgical equipment for cardiovascular procedures
- 9Maintain readiness for robotic and Da Vinci Xi assisted cases
- 10Document essential perioperative activities and maintain accurate case records
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience within the last 6 months
- 2Minimum 2 years of experience with Open-heart procedures and Endovascular procedures
- 3Experience with Impella procedures and aortic dissections
- 4Active CST certification required
- 5BLS certification required
- 6Level I Trauma experience required
- 7Previous travel experience required
- 8Call coverage participation including weekends and holidays required
- 9Onsite travel contract in Dallas, TX with 13 week duration
- 10Strong teamwork and communication skills
