Own the cardiovascular OR as a Travel RN at OneStaff Medical in New York, delivering perioperative care across 3-5 assignments. What You'll Do9
- 1Prepare the CVOR suite for cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring sterile field and equipment readiness.
- 2Administer sedation and medications as directed by the surgeon or anesthesiologist during procedures.
- 3Monitor patient vital signs throughout surgery, adjusting care to maintain stability.
- 4Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and applying dressings post-procedure.
- 5Document intraoperative care and patient responses in the EHR system.
- 6Collaborate with PACU nurses to ensure seamless patient handoff after surgery.
- 7Coordinate with Perfusion specialists during cardiopulmonary bypass cases.
- 8Support the OR team during emergency procedures, acting decisively under pressure.
- 9Adhere to AORN standards and hospital protocols for infection control and safety.
Requirements5
- 11+ year of current work experience in CVOR.
- 2New York State Healthcare Provider license or willingness to obtain one.
- 3Certifications: BLS and ACLS.
- 4Ability to excel in a fast-paced OR environment.
- 5Eligible to work in the US and travel for assignments.
