Overview

As a CVOR Surgical Tech in Charlotte, NC, you will support 45 daily cases across 13 ORs plus a procedure room, specializing in CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic procedures. You will work 12-hour day shifts in a 337-bed facility with no trauma designation. Join a supportive team with 24/7 anesthesia coverage and free parking, and gain experience in a high-volume setting.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Scrub for CVOR cases including CABG, AVR, MVR, and TAVR within the first 90 days.
  • 2Assist in vascular procedures such as fistula creations, carotid endarterectomies, and bypasses.
  • 3Handle robotic surgeries (chole, appy, hernia, colectomy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy) using EPIC EMR.
  • 4Support orthopedic surgeries including total hip, knee, and shoulder arthroplasty.
  • 5Manage instrumentation for urology cases like TURP, cystoscopy, and laser lithotripsy.
  • 6Participate in on-call rotation: 4-5 weeknight calls and 1-2 weekends per 6-week schedule.
  • 7Work with Phillips monitors and Omnicell dispensing systems for medication and supplies.
  • 8Turn over rooms, position patients, and operate surgical tables as part of a 6-person OR assistant team.

Requirements9

  • 12+ years of OR experience in CVOR or surgical tech specialty.
  • 2BLS certification required; national certification as surgical tech preferred.
  • 3Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program before start date.
  • 4Experience scrubbing in ortho (totals, trauma, sports), general (lap/open), and GYN cases.
  • 5Proficiency in at least two of: NeuroSpine (fusions, O-arm), Robotic (docking, arms), Vascular (endo, fem-pops, bypass), ENT, Plastics.
  • 6Strong recent experience with CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic cases.
  • 7Ability to scrub for cases across ortho, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, urology, robotic, GYN, colon, breast, spine, podiatry, and plastic surgery.
  • 8Willingness to take on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • 9Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler.
