Overview
Full-time Support Worker in New York City providing direct assistance to residents with psychiatric and substance use disabilities. Works primarily in the field meeting with residents on service plans and assessing needs. Completes progress notes jointly at time of service. This role focuses on enabling independence and improving quality of life through community resource linkages.

- 6Coordinate with community organizations to expand access to essential resources
- 7Prepare accurate progress notes compliant with regulatory standards
- 8Maintain household responsibilities supporting daily living
- 9Communicate effectively with service providers and support networks
- 10Remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- 11Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively across multiple resident caseloads
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in mental health or equivalent experience
- 2Valid NJ Driver's License with acceptable driving record
- 33+ years of relevant work or lived experience
- 4Ability to prepare clear billable progress notes
- 5Proficiency in MS Office products
- 6Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 7Patience and emotional resilience
- 8Bilingual abilities a plus
- 9Experience with mental health service delivery
- 10Understanding of trauma-informed approaches
Salary Insight
$40 - $44k per year
