Supply Chain Specialist, Electronics Manufacturing (EMS)
Overview
This role owns end-to-end procurement for high-reliability electronic assemblies at Libra Industries, a full-service EMS provider supporting aerospace, defense, and medical clients. You will manage MRP-driven purchasing, Kanban replenishment, and JIT delivery while expediting orders and resolving supply issues. Working directly with the Supply Chain Supervisor, you will maintain quality records and drive cost savings. This position stands out for its hands-on impact on mission-critical production and opportunities to apply Lean methodologies.
What You'll Do9
- 1Procure parts for assigned jobs, scheduling deliveries to meet required dates while beating target pricing from approved vendors and maintaining quality standards.
- 2Expedite open orders on a regular basis to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
- 3Prepare cost quotes on customer BOMs for RFQs, including piece price, minimum lot sizing, and lead time.
- 4Purchase expense materials in support of operational requirements.
- 5Maintain accurate purchasing quality records in accordance with Libra's quality manual.
- 6Process discrepant and excess material in a timely manner and accurately report findings to accounting.
- 7Provide accurate cost information on all jobs processed, including purchase price variance (PPV).
- 8Identify root causes and implement corrective actions related to product, process, and operational issues.
- 9Complete assigned projects using project management tools and Six Sigma/Lean methodologies to drive process improvements.
Requirements8
- 1Associate's degree required.
- 21+ years of purchasing experience.
- 3Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- 4Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
- 5Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- 6Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- 7Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
- 8Pass a criminal history background check and education verification as outlined by Libra Industries.
