Procurement Specialist, Industrial Supply Chain
Overview
You will own purchasing and supply chain strategy for Solve Industrial Motion Group, a distributor of engineered bearings and power transmission components with over 100,000 ready-to-ship items. Reporting to the Materials Director, you will use Epicor/P21 to manage inventory, negotiate supplier terms, and drive cost savings. You will partner with Sales, Quality, and Engineering to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards. Leverage Power BI to report KPIs and influence monthly SIOP. This role offers exposure to international suppliers and LEAN process improvement.
What You'll Do9
- 1Track orders and communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery, expediting where needed.
- 2Analyze inventory and prepare purchase orders in Epicor/P21 to maintain stock levels, using demand trends and lead times.
- 3Identify slow-moving inventory and collaborate with Sales to liquidate it.
- 4Analyze data to set min/max levels, re-order points, and safety stock, and improve forecast accuracy.
- 5Contribute to monthly SIOP, providing insights on customer and supplier trends.
- 6Build Power BI dashboards to report on performance metrics and KPIs.
- 7Maintain accurate data in Epicor/P21, including costs, purchase orders, and delivery dates.
- 8Partner with Quality and Engineering to verify purchased items meet standards and resolve discrepancies.
- 9Reconcile purchase order and invoice variances to ensure accuracy and product availability.
Requirements5
- 15+ years of hands-on procurement experience or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 23+ years working in procurement.
- 3Proficient with Epicor/P21 and data analytics tools like Power BI and Web Query.
- 4Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office tools.
- 5Ability to travel up to 10%.
