Overview

The Supply Chain Engineer leads engineering and supply chain integration to deliver the SMR‑300 program. This role owns planning and execution of procurement and project activities ensuring materials and services align with technical quality and regulatory standards. Ideal candidates have strong engineering expertise and experience in complex regulated environments collaborating across functional teams to mitigate supply chain risks for first‑of‑a‑kind nuclear projects.

What You'll Do13

  • 1Provide technical input into cost estimation for bulk commodities and complex manufactured components
  • 2Support schedule development for long‑lead nuclear equipment
  • 3Lead competitive sourcing processes RFI RFPRFQ for SMR‑300 components
  • 4Assist in change impact assessments affecting suppliers and manufacturing scope
  • 5Identify manufacturing material availability and capacity risks across the SMR supply chain
  • 6Develop mitigation strategies for constrained nuclear‑qualified suppliers
  • 7Support localization and supplier development initiatives to expand nuclear‑capable manufacturing capacity
  • 8Participate in make/buy analyses and manufacturing readiness assessments
  • 9Collaborate with design engineering to translate technical requirements into procurement specifications
  • 10Review and validate supplier technical submittals drawings inspection and test plans and manufacturing procedures
  • 11Analyze equipment required in nuclear plants and establish commercial grade dedication complying with design technical specification and code requirements
  • 12Reconcile equipment documentation to the ASME Code
  • 13Determine technical procurement requirements using the plant design basis to maintain configuration control

Requirements13

  • 1Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related scientific discipline
  • 2All experience levels considered
  • 3Nuclear Power Plant experience preferred
  • 4Strong understanding of engineering principles
  • 5Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 6Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically to solve complex problems
  • 7Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • 8Familiarity with U.S. NRC Regulation relating to commercial nuclear units
  • 9SRO license or certification on a PWR
  • 10Professional Engineering license
  • 11MS in Engineering
  • 12Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project P6
  • 13Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD SolidWorks
