Overview
As a Senior Multidisciplined Engineer, you will own the design, production, and delivery of Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) components and modules at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. You will work across the project lifecycle, interfacing with stakeholders and suppliers to validate technical requirements. What You'll Do8
- 1Plan and conduct independent work efforts throughout the PPTT project lifecycle, from design through delivery.
- 2Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met, capturing and prioritizing requirements.
- 3Perform design and process reviews with suppliers, validating technical approaches and compliance.
- 4Conduct hardware inspections and equipment testing at supplier facilities to verify performance.
- 5Review and disposition supplier submittals against technical requirements, ensuring accuracy.
- 6Drive technical interchanges with suppliers to resolve design issues and optimize integration.
- 7Use SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software to assess component designs and fit.
- 8Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate modules into the interactive simulator environment.
Requirements12
- 16+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related technical, engineering, or science field.
- 24+ years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related technical, engineering, or science field.
- 31+ year of relevant experience with a Doctorate in a related technical, engineering, or science field.
- 4Currently a Senior Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.
- 5Experience in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
- 6Experience in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training Program.
- 7Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software.
- 8Experience evaluating designs and production equipment against technical requirements.
- 9Experience in supplier management.
- 10Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- 11Ability to think creatively and make proactive recommendations to management.
- 12Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
