Principal Delivery Stream Engineer, Nuclear Procurement
Overview
You will own the procurement, delivery, and turnover of structural module equipment for the APX Large Structures portfolio, driving cost and schedule certainty across multi-project execution. You will report to the Senior Manager, WBS-2 Structural Modules, and collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Supplier Performance Engineering to develop and execute a strategy supporting parallel project delivery. This hybrid role, based in Cranberry Township, PA, puts you at the center of Westinghouse's clean energy mission, managing supplier relationships and ensuring equipment readiness for nuclear projects. You will lead supplier kick-off meetings, oversee oversight plans, and manage purchase order execution from pre-award through final turnover. With 5+ years of experience in engineering or procurement, you will bring manufacturing and financial acumen to a role that directly impacts AP1000 project success.
What You'll Do8
- 1Support pre-purchase order and post-purchase order procurement activities to ensure supplier readiness and predictable delivery performance, including supplier identification, evaluation, down-selection, and commercial negotiations.
- 2Lead supplier kick-off meetings and regularly scheduled meetings with suppliers and the Westinghouse project support team, driving cost and schedule certainty through proactive issue resolution.
- 3Partner with Supplier Performance Engineering to develop supplier oversight plans and manage execution, including witness and hold points, ensuring quality and technical requirements are met.
- 4Review supplier submittals and coordinate internal resources for Westinghouse review and disposition, managing supplier commitments via change management and contract administration.
- 5Drive procurement lifecycle milestones by providing periodic schedule updates and customer status reports, ensuring all supplier scope is completed, including fabrication, testing, documentation, and closeout.
- 6Coordinate with suppliers and Quality Assurance to complete Quality Releases and Data Packages, and with Logistics to support shipment planning and execution.
- 7Collaborate with APX Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Supplier Performance Engineering teams to align on project planning and execution, supporting multi-project strategy.
- 8Define complex problem statements, develop actionable plans for self and team, and communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to management and executive stakeholders.
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.
- 25+ years of relevant experience in engineering, procurement, project management, manufacturing, or related field.
- 3Experience with AP1000 or similar structural modules is preferred.
- 4Strong manufacturing, financial, and business acumen, with understanding of Energy Systems product lines.
- 5Experience working with multinational teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- 6Experience communicating with executive stakeholders.
- 7Ability to define complex problem statements, develop actionable plans, and communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to management.
Salary Insight
