Overview
Dauch seeks a Supplier Risk Management and Compliance Lead to drive proactive risk identification and mitigation for direct material suppliers. Based in Detroit the role coordinates with Procurement Supplier Quality Engineering and Supply Chain Management to ensure supply continuity across all customer programs. This leader provides executive visibility through weekly risk summaries and oversees compliance with internal policies and regulatory frameworks.
What You'll Do18
- 1Lead end-to-end risk identification and mitigation for direct material suppliers
- 2Partner with Procurement SQE and SCM to monitor capacity constraints logistics disruptions and single-source dependencies
- 3Facilitate daily weekly risk review meetings with cross-functional teams
- 4Track supply continuity action plans and align on root cause identification recovery timelines
- 5Escalate critical issues to leadership with mitigation plans
- 6Develop and distribute weekly Significant Events and Supply Risk Reports
- 7Provide concise executive summaries highlighting key risk changes program impacts and mitigation progress
- 8Maintain supplier risk profiles including financial health operational performance capacity risks and geographic exposure
- 9Monitor external data sources and internal metrics for early warning signals
- 10Ensure adherence to customer OEM risk reporting and regulatory requirements
- 11Perform risk due diligence during new supplier onboarding
- 12Support supplier risk audits and track mitigation compliance
- 13Maintain and improve risk dashboards using Power BI
- 14Analyze trends in supplier disruptions recurring risk patterns and category-level exposure
- 15Drive improvements in risk visibility data accuracy and process efficiency
- 16Support development of digital tools for supplier risk management
- 17Identify critical Tier-2 Tier-N dependencies and collaborate on supply network mapping
- 18Map supply networks and risk propagation with external platforms and internal teams
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management Business Engineering Finance or related field
- 25+ years experience in direct procurement supply chain management or supplier risk management
- 35+ years experience in Tier 1 automotive OEM or manufacturing environment
- 4Proven experience working with buyers and SCM teams in production-critical supply settings
- 5Strong proficiency in Excel advanced Power BI or similar analytics tools
- 6Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle Plex SAP
- 7Experience with supplier risk tools or platforms like Ivalua Altana NAVEX
- 8Data modeling and dashboard development skills preferred
