Overview
You will run the studio floor, lead painting sessions, manage the team, and drive sales at Muse Paintbar's Nashville location. You'll own daily operations, from opening to closing, and ensure every guest leaves with a painting they're proud of and a great story. The team is a mix of artists and hospitality pros, and you'll train, coach, and schedule them to deliver a seamless experience. This role is different because you'll combine artistic instruction with operational leadership in a high-energy, social environment.
What You'll Do12
- 1Open and close the studio, ensuring the operation runs clean and ready for guests.
- 2Lead and assist painting sessions with step-by-step instruction that beginners can follow.
- 3Prep and run private events and parties from setup through breakdown.
- 4Oversee the kitchen, holding the line on food safety standards with TIPS and ServSafe in mind.
- 5Drive sales by coaching the team on guest engagement and upselling techniques.
- 6Review applications, screen candidates, run paint auditions, and train new hires.
- 7Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members, scheduling regular one-on-ones.
- 8Track performance and run reviews with your Regional Manager and HR.
- 9Build and maintain monthly schedules, approve time-off, and review timecards daily.
- 10Manage inventory counts, orders, and weekly deliveries, submitting accurate reports to the Regional Manager.
- 11Resolve customer complaints quickly and professionally, escalating complex issues as needed.
- 12Enforce alcohol service, safety, and cash handling procedures.
Requirements13
- 12+ years of full-time management experience.
- 2Bachelor's degree in art, business, marketing, finance, or related field, or equivalent management experience.
- 3Experience in the arts with comfort painting with acrylics.
- 4Experience in a customer-facing role like a bar or restaurant.
- 5Group art instruction experience preferred.
- 6Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 7Sales, service, and leadership instincts.
- 8Comfortable with Google Workspace, Slack, and studio tech.
- 9Full-time flexible availability on-site, including regular weekends and evenings.
- 10Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to 20% monthly.
- 11Must be 21 or older.
- 12TIPS and ServSafe Manager certification (training provided if not certified).
- 13Ability to stand for long periods, step on and off elevated surfaces, bend, reach, move, and lift up to 50 pounds.
