The Stewardship Officer leads donor relations and strategic initiatives at UMB. This role aligns with national CASE standards and drives high-visibility projects. What You'll Do11
- 1Develop and implement stewardship plans for principal gift donors and endowed funds
- 2Plan and execute high-profile donor events
- 3Support place-based initiatives highlighting UMB's Baltimore impact
- 4Collaborate with USM and UMMS on shared stewardship strategies
- 5Produce impact reports and donor communications
- 6Maintain stewardship policies and compliance standards
- 7Track donor metrics and prepare strategic reports
- 8Identify emerging principal gift prospects through research
- 9Coordinate MEIF-supported endowed professorships and research initiatives
- 10Partner with development teams for consistent messaging
- 11Monitor stewardship interactions for strategic interventions
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor’s degree with five years of philanthropic experience
- 2At least two years in donor data management or stewardship
- 3Experience with gift administration or advancement services
- 4One year supervisory experience
- 5Familiarity with CASE standards and donor database systems
- 6Proven ability to conduct prospect research using wealth screening tools
- 7Strong analytical skills for donor data synthesis
- 8Commitment to confidentiality and ethical information handling
