What You'll Do8
- 1Decontaminate and sterilize instruments, medical supplies, and equipment following Standard Precautions.
- 2Assemble, wrap, and sterilize instrument trays for surgical procedures.
- 3Monitor biological and chemical wash solutions to ensure quality and consistency.
- 4Sort mismatched instrument sets and trays to keep them ready for customers.
- 5Restock, label, and maintain inventory; submit requisitions for supplies.
- 6Distribute instruments, trays, crash carts, and facility medical equipment to departments.
- 7Verify equipment functions properly, requisition repairs, and remove defective items.
- 8Maintain a clean work area and uphold departmental policies, safety, and infection control standards.
Requirements7
- 1CRCST certificate
- 22+ years of sterile processing experience
- 3Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization protocols
- 4Ability to follow Standard Precautions and infection control standards
- 5Experience with instrument tracking and inventory systems
- 6Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
