Overview
Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician at Hims & Hers owns the compounding process for USP 797 compliance, preparing medications that reach thousands of patients from our New Albany, Ohio facility. You will work under Pharmacist supervision on the night shift (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, rotating 2-2-3-2 schedule) with a shift differential. The team focuses on precision and safety, with environmental monitoring and documentation as part of every task. What You'll Do8
- 1Adhere to safety and environment procedures in the Site SOPs, wearing appropriate PPE during all tasks.
- 2Compound sterile medications, including component preparation, formulation, aseptic filling, inspection, and packaging.
- 3Perform daily, weekly, and monthly compounding responsibilities per facility SOPs, such as preparing materials and supplies.
- 4Support cleanroom suite operations: calibrate equipment, clean, dishwash, sterilize, and depyrogenate tools.
- 5Document all compounding and environmental activities to meet USP 797 standards and facility SOPs.
- 6Communicate issues to pharmacists in real time to maintain lab integrity.
- 7Use equipment as directed by the pharmacist, following all safety guidelines.
- 8Complete USP 797 training requirements and apply them to daily work.
Requirements8
- 1Current registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the state of Ohio and CPhT national certification.
- 21+ year compounding experience (nonsterile or sterile) is preferred.
- 3Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT®) is preferred.
- 4Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, including night shifts.
- 5Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- 6Willingness to wear PPE including gloves, respiratory protection, gowns, and other items for hazardous drug handling.
- 7Medical approval to wear respirators, including N95, full-face, SCBA, or PAPR.
- 8Physical stamina: stand up to 100% of shift, walk 50%, squat/bend 20%, lift up to 50 lbs for up to 12 hours.
