What You'll Do11
- 1Establish working identity with pharmacy team while continuing culture building
- 2Prepare sterile products using aseptic technique complying with regulatory standards
- 3Repackage bulk oral medication using Parata Systems and Medical Packaging Inc robots
- 4Facilitate medication dispensing via Automated Dispensing Cabinets on patient care units
- 5Assist in dispensing orders through pharmacy inventory system
- 6Process daily pharmacy department orders ensuring proper stock rotation storage and expiration dating
- 7Escalate medication and non-medication orders to purchasing team
- 8Support department with proper patient billing
- 9Maintain accurate records and documentation
- 10Participate in ongoing role-specific training
- 11Develop pharmacy knowledge aligned with Certified Pharmacy Technician certification goals
Requirements5
- 1High school graduation or equivalent licensure certified pharmacy technician certification active registration with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy
- 25+ years pharmacy technician experience preferred
- 3Strong communication skills aptitude in mathematical manipulations ratios proportions multiplication division decimals and fractions
- 4Desire to career build elevate pharmacy knowledge toward Certified Pharmacy Technician certification
- 5Experience with sterile compounding and pharmaceutical automation systems
