Staff Accountant, Manufacturing & ERP Focus
Overview
Lead accounting support for a Hillside manufacturing team with a focus on accounts payable, monthly close, and fixed assets across a 6+ month contract. You will work onsite in a collaborative environment with the accounting department and cross-functional teams. This role offers hands-on exposure to ERP systems and manufacturing financial processes. What You'll Do9
- 1Build and code invoices and remit payments within the ERP system to ensure timely cash flow.
- 2Review and reconcile invoices against items and quantities received, and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
- 3Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to support monthly close.
- 4Maintain fixed asset records and perform depreciation calculations and asset disposals.
- 5Monitor project costs and assist with month-end close activities to ensure accurate reporting.
- 6Assist with weekly ACH and check runs and bank reconciliations.
- 7Collaborate with internal teams to resolve pricing, quantity, and receiving discrepancies.
- 8Support general ledger activities and accounting projects as needed.
- 9Prepare monthly depreciation reports and assist with general accounting backlog tasks.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2At least 2 years of accounting experience
- 3Accounts Payable experience
- 4General accounting experience
- 5Manufacturing accounting experience preferred
- 6Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- 7Experience with an ERP/accounting system
- 8Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- 9Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- 10Strong written and verbal communication skills
