Overview
We seek a Staff Accountant to own daily operational books at our Sacramento facility. The role involves maintaining the general ledger supporting monthly close tasks and collaborating with finance peers. This position offers broad exposure in a fast-growing clean-energy company.
What You'll Do10
- 1Maintain the general ledger and support monthly close including journal entries accruals and account reconciliations
- 2Keep financial records accurate organized and audit ready
- 3Support accounts payable purchasing and shipping workflows
- 4Assist with customer invoicing billing and collections
- 5Work in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise as a primary user
- 6Record and reconcile payroll activity from Rippling into QuickBooks via journal entry
- 7Maintain the fixed-asset schedule and depreciation entries
- 8Support inventory and cost accounting for a manufacturing environment
- 9Assist with grant and government-contract cost tracking and billing
- 10Prepare schedules and documentation to support external tax preparers and auditors
Requirements9
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons of relevant accounting experience
- 3Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 4Strong Excel skills and comfort working across systems
- 5Solid understanding of GAAP and month-end close basics
- 6High attention to detail strong ownership and ability to juggle deadlines
- 7Familiarity with Rippling or comparable HRIS/payroll platform
- 8Grant or government-contract accounting exposure
- 9Nice to have Manufacturing inventory cost accounting experience
Salary Insight
$85 - $120k per year
