Staff Accountant Raley's Sacramento
Overview
You will own financial reporting and banking operations as a Staff Accountant. This role supports the Banking team and ensures accurate financial records. The position differs by focusing on intermediate to complex tasks and direct impact on financial strategy.
What You'll Do16
- 1Reconcile general ledger accounts including prepaids accruals assets liabilities and other balance sheet accounts
- 2Research resolve and document account discrepancies
- 3Prepare journal entries accounting adjustments and supporting documentation
- 4Monitor accounting deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned activities
- 5Produce quarter-end company consolidations and related financial reporting
- 6Support year-end audit activities and provide financial information for internal and external auditors
- 7Review financial information across business units to ensure accuracy and completeness
- 8Oversee daily Banking team operations and workflow activities
- 9Review Banking team reconciliations and work product for accuracy and compliance
- 10Ensure production requirements are completed within quality and service standards
- 11Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- 12Interview select evaluate and recognize team members conduct training and support ongoing development
- 13Coordinate activities and communicate changes with internal departments
- 14Serve as a resource for Payroll Accounts Payable Banking and other accounting functions
- 15Research and resolve customer and vendor inquiries prepare spreadsheets reports records analyses and supporting documentation
- 16Assist with special projects and additional assignments as needed
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading cross-functional teams
- 3CPC Card certification preferred
- 4Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or related field
- 5SAP ERP systems or related financial software
- 6CPA preferred
- 7Financial statements balance sheets and income statements
- 8Accounting principles practices methods and procedures
- 9General ledger accounting and account reconciliation processes
- 10Microsoft Office Suite applications
- 11Corporate state and federal financial reporting requirements
