Sr Military Contracts Advisor & Action Officer, DoD Communications & Policy
Overview
Lead strategic external communications and policy coordination for a DoD focused team at Arlington VA on site two days a week. You will own messaging continuity, briefings, and engagement planning with senior officials and agencies. You will work with the CMO Director and Executive Assistant to analyze data, develop recommendations, and drive action items from engagements. The role blends policy, contracting familiarity, and high level collaboration to influence outcomes in government contracts and acquisitions.
What You'll Do12
- 1Build and maintain messaging continuity for strategic engagements with senior DoD officials and Federal Agencies communications DoD policy briefings outreach
- 2Design and implement content for briefings and speaking engagements to support management decisions and external communications with stakeholders content briefings speaking engagements
- 3Lead research and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to provide actionable recommendations for action officers and senior leaders data analysis recommendations

- 3Ability to pass pre-employment background check
- 4Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing or organization and management preferred
- 5One to two years’ experience in similar Action Officer responsibilities
- 6Prior experience producing quality briefings for senior officials
- 7Familiarity with acquisition/contracting preferred
- 8Prior Military experience beneficial
- 9Must be organized and detail-oriented
- 10Able to work independently and in a team
- 11Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, organizational, time management skills
- 12On-site in Arlington, VA two days a week
