Sr Manufacturing Engineer - 2nd Shift
Overview
Onsite U.S. Citizen position requiring DoD Security Clearance. Responsible for translating engineering design requirements into manufacturing process documentation while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Do11
- 1Develop manufacturing process documentation including inspection planning and sheet metal fabrication
- 2Create inspection plans and operator instructions for hardware installation and finishing requirements
- 3Design and improve manufacturing processes through collaboration with cross-functional teams
- 4Perform process development for new product introductions with accelerated time to market
- 5Support continuous improvement initiatives and document standard methodologies
- 6Review dimensional inspection data and SPC data to identify and prevent defects
- 7Troubleshoot manufacturing issues using CORE/6-sigma methods to determine root causes
- 8Apply corrective actions based on root cause analysis
- 9Translate engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation
- 10Collaborate with Operations team to improve manufacturing operations
- 11Assess process failures and disposition of non-conforming hardware
Requirements11
- 15+ years of relevant experience
- 2Bachelor's degree in STEM field
- 3Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and structural assembly techniques
- 4Ability to interpret ASME Y14.5 GD&T drawings
- 5Active DoD Security Clearance
- 6U.S. citizenship required
- 7Experience with Creo CAD software
- 8Process familiarity with paint and plating
- 9Hands-on mechanical aptitude
- 10Application of CORE principles and techniques
- 11Active security clearance
