Overview
Senior ICT Design Engineer leading ICT design strategy across global data centers. This role drives technical leadership and sets standards for safety and security while mentoring engineers and shaping infrastructure architecture.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable fiber optic and copper plant designs across multiple simultaneous builds and regions
- 2Own ICT architecture for large-scale data center programs including new campus builds and colocation environments ensuring extensibility and cost optimization
- 3Drive development of ICT design standards BOD templates and QA checklists used globally
- 4Identify and resolve cross-discipline coordination challenges involving civil architectural electrical mechanical and security systems
- 5Define and enforce ICT engineering best practices and quality benchmarks across teams and partners
- 6Review and approve ICT pathway cabling and equipment submittals ensuring compliance with AWS standards and codes
- 7Lead correction of errors initiatives and lessons learned reviews translating findings into actionable improvements
- 8Serve as primary technical point of contact collaborating with design managers construction managers security engineers and partner leads
- 9Partner with security electrical civil and architectural disciplines to coordinate ICT pathway designs
- 10Engage with supplier standards bodies to define product requirements and evaluate emerging technologies
- 11Support RFP processes developing ICT scope requirements and providing technical input on consultant selection
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 25+ years of ICT design experience in mission critical environments
- 35+ years of experience developing complex multi-site design programs
- 4Hands-on experience with fiber optic components cabling and applicable standards
- 5Demonstrated experience driving engineering standards and process improvements
- 6Proven ability to lead cross-discipline design coordination in large infrastructure programs
- 7BICSI RCDD Certification or equivalent
- 8Proficiency with AutoCAD Revit Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite
- 9Experience with building codes and permitting processes
- 10Ability to produce design documentation for construction and permitting
- 11Familiarity with physical security system integration requirements for ICT pathways
