What You'll Do8

  • 1Define and refine power system requirements for electrical power storage subsystems.
  • 2Design electrical power storage hardware, including battery circuits, voltage conversion, charge/discharge control, and fault protection.
  • 3Develop integration plans for power storage equipment and ensure seamless integration with spacecraft avionics.
  • 4Create detailed test plans and procedures to verify and validate power storage performance and reliability.
  • 5Build test systems using oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic load banks, and power analyzers to validate designs.
  • 6Contribute to interface control documents between power distribution hardware and other subsystems.
  • 7Evaluate supplier issues, identify risks, and implement recovery strategies to keep programs on schedule.
  • 8Support milestone reviews across design, manufacturing, test, and operations phases with technical input and status updates.

Requirements8

  • 1Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 25+ years in power storage system design, integration, and test.
  • 3Hands-on experience with batteries and battery management systems (BMS).
  • 4Proficiency in electrical, analog, and digital circuit design for power electronics.
  • 5Experience with hardware test and validation of power storage systems.
  • 6Proficient use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic load banks, power supplies, and power analyzers.
  • 7Experience integrating power storage hardware into larger systems.
  • 8Ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans and integration strategies.
